Western Australian wheat growers face higher temperatures and lower rainfall in the future, which will challenge the profitability of wheat production on farm.
Kevin Tongue, who runs a 2000 - hectare property near Tamworth, NSW, of which 25 per cent is devoted to wheat and barley, said it was important that Australiangrowers were able to gain access to markets freely without being handicapped by tariffs.
