As for abbreviations, why would anyone not have his or her common abbreviations recorded in
Autocorrect so that, «dlr «becomes «D.L.R.» or «DLR»?

Yah, Tommy, my iPad has
autocorrect and it puts the apostrophe in
so it's a spelling correction.

That is why companies have had to put
so much time into
autocorrect.
Just like your phone is crystal clear when it delivers a text message (unless that darn
autocorrect strikes again),
so is your body.

autocorrect now believes your misspelling is the right one.
Along with this is the addition of search
autocorrect — in other words, that «Did you mean...» line we're
so familiar with from Google Search for when you mess up typing a name or keyword.
If you disable the capitalization
AutoCorrect options, you may want to turn on the feature that checks spelling as you type,
so you don't miss capitalization errors.
Perhaps you're not
so fed up with
autocorrect that you want to outright excise it, but there are other keyboard nuisances you would like to deal with.
Third - party keyboards don't get access to the native iOS
autocorrect system,
so they won't actually suffer from the same issue.

so much faster than punching individual keys to type out words, even with
autocorrect.
So if you type a word incorrectly and go back and correct it, it begins
autocorrecting right away, rather than continuing to correct the previous word.
