What do you think of NieR: Automata?

I did things like direct a game called NieR: Automata.

Ben played Doki Doki Literature Club (watch out, we do briefly talk about spoilers) and Nier: Automata, while Jordan is tackling the massive Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Nier Automata - I don't know how much of Nier Automata I can say without tumbling into faux philosophical buffoonery.

It's graphical fidelity is similar to something like Onigiri on the PS4 and while I generally don't take offense to a game being ugly, it was certainly shocking to go from the beauty of Horizon: Zero Dawn to Nier: Automata and end up here.

There are a ton of other great games available on PS4 that I did not list here such as Nier Automata, Until Dawn, The Last Guardian and many more!

Now, he says, he finally feels like he's done with work on Nier: Automata.

The masterful way in which it is done is why Nier: Automata has won our Best Narrative award.

I say that, because even though it's not the first game in the series, how many people do you know played NieR versus Automata?

Oh how the One X could do with its very own Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy or Nier: Automata.

It does seem like we're getting an avalanche of open - world games, fortunately it's not so bad for me since I have zero interest in Zelda or Persona (not too sure about Nier Automata, as I agreed with Jim's not - so - positive review of the first game and i'm concerned this game will have the same problems)

I didn't know exactly what to expect with NieR Automata to be honest.

The game does suffer from a couple of minor technical issues however, which show that Automata's open world nature may have proven to be a challenge for PlatinumGames.

Not really, consider what Yoshida did with FFXIV, it was a dead duck before he came in and now it is flourishing, having him on the board of directors can only mean good things, same with the producer of NieR Automata — that game was a massive risk and it ended up being one of the best games released last year.

So, how does this interest in bringing real - world morality to bear on the logic of games translate within NieR: Automata?

i hear nothing about the release date form Persona 5 and Nier Automata and Nioh etc, i do nt think they come in 2016 either, if so kinda lame game year

On top of its graphical inferiority, its environmental diversity is rather lacklustre and banal — the post-apocalyptic universe is derivative beyond belief, but Automata could've left some form of creative footprint on the formulaic setting, but alas it does not.

Nier: Automata, at its core, is an open - world Role - Playing Game — given the involvement of PlatinumGames, the heavy focus on combat was a given, and while it doesn't reach the meteoric heights of Bayonetta in terms of gameplay, it's still extremely enjoyable and fluid for RPG standards.

The opening of Route C is exceptionally well done, as its design is far more focused and linear in comparison to the rest of Automata; it's a testament to the quality Automata could have achieved if it took this more calculated approach.

While this isn't a confirmation of anything, it does suggest that Ghost of Tsushima could very well go down the route of games such as Nier: Automata with dialogue entirely in Japanese alongside English subtitles.

As such, nobody truly expected Nier Automata to do so well, especially publisher Square Enix.

Some of the stages that simply play themselves - aptly dubbed «Don't Move» courses - are breathtaking in their intricacy, like those clockwork automata that craftsmen used to make.

Even after a year since its release, Nier Automata is continuing to do good on the market, so much that it has brought an increase of operating income for publisher Square Enix in the past nine months.
