However,
the Aventador also evokes its immediate predecessor the Murciélago — electronically managed air intakes open depending on the outdoor temperature and the need for cooling air, ensuring maximum aerodynamic efficiency.
Not exact matches
As you can see from the photos, the design of the
Aventador is another leap forward for Lamborghini while
also finding inspiration from the legendary Miura.
There's
also the sharp angles and creases that adorn the Huracan and
Aventador all over Urus's bodywork — there isn't a square foot that isn't broken up by converging lines or an abrupt crease.
This one
also features a set of Dione alloy wheels (20in up front and 21in astern) in matt silver, while Miura badging marks the Homage
Aventadors out from their regular counterparts.
In its new clothes the
Aventador S
also flows much more cleanly through the air.
Not only have we got the full story on Porsche's new turbocharged 911 Carrera models, but we've
also taken Lamborghini's
Aventador SV to the Isle of Man, Aston Martin's Vantage GT12 to the infamous evo Triangle and set a lap time at Anglesey Circuit, and splashed our way across the North York Moors in the Cayman GT4.
It's
also blessed with a capable and extremely agile chassis, which certainly makes it a worthy rival to the
Aventador S.
It
also comfortably trumps the 690bhp Lamborghini
Aventador while matching its torque figure.
The Urus
also features rear - wheel steering — first introduced in the
Aventador S — with up to 3 degrees of movement either way.
Only the most exotic engines, such as Porsche's naturally aspirated 4 - litre flat - six, Ferrari's 6.3 - litre V12 and
also the Lamborghini
Aventador's V12 have old - school drama.
Back in November 2013 renowned Vorsteiner introduced their V - series tuning package for the Lamborghini
Aventador, not only did they add some amazing carbon fiber parts, but Vorsteiner Nero
also increased horsepower to 740... hence the
Aventador V - LP740 name.
At the Automobili Lamborghini SpA not only the red
Aventador Miura Homage was shown, but
also the impressive Huracan Super Trofeo race car and the Huracan Avio, another special edition, but this time based on the V10 model... inside the hospitality a pristine white Huracan Spyder could be admired.
The Torado
Aventador that has
also been used during the wind tunnel testing for aerodynamics received tuning for the engine.
I actually had a nice interview with the people from Hamann Motorsport at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show back in March about a tuning package for the Lamborghini
Aventador... and they replied the market wasn't large enough to develop it,
also the rumor about warranty issues when an owner modifies the car didn't help either... but apparently both «issues» didn't keep the famous German tuner from taking on the latest V12 flagship from Sant «Agata.
And that's only the beginning... add a pair of turbo chargers and a reprogrammed ECU to increase power output to 988hp and while the diffuser fits around the standard exhaust tip of the Lamborghini
Aventador it is
also possible to install a lightweight, free flowing exhaust system that might just change the tone of this V12 Raging Bull... a little.
Well known for their impressive tuning on Mercedes and Porsche, Misha Designs now
also offers an aerodynamic package for the Lamborghini
Aventador.
The Novitec Torado
Aventador LP700 - 4 impressed the world with a double rear wing, complete with special electronic box to avoid the error generated by the original rear wing when you disconnect it from raising, more importantly NOVITEC offers a Bi-Kompressor kit that has been measured at 969hp (713 kW) at 8,300 rpm with a boost setting of 0.47 bar... and recently
also made available in
Aventador LP700 - 4 Roadster form.
Around the back you almost don't even recognize the original
Aventador anymore, just about the entire rear section is replaced by DMC Edizione GT parts... a new rear bumper, massive lower diffuser and naturally the additional fins for stability... just in case that doesn't impress you enough DMC
also installs a brand new rear wing, the GT version which gets installed on a new «wing base» for added stifness and that can be adjusted for more down force when needed.
According to Domenicali, «the
Aventador has more than five or six more years to run and the next platform
also has a V12 at the center of the project.»
Inside things have changed between the original
Aventador and this new Superveloce too, for one there is the Carbon Skin material being used on a regular production model for the first time, but
also a lot of visible carbon fiber everywhere in the cockpit, from the seats over the central console right up to the foot wells... all very impressive.
The Lamborghini
Aventador LP750 - 4 Superveloce is the new flagship model made in Sant «Agata at the moment... but rumor has it there will
also be a Roadster version of this track inspired super car.
The same carbon fiber finish can be applied to the air vents in front of the windshield, the intakes behind the side windows, the air intakes in the front bumper and air vents in the rear section... these latter two are
also modified by Novitec to allow a better airflow... that's
also why there is a new «fin'to be mounted on the large side air intake and you can install a different outlet on the engine cover... all to have improved ventilation on the Novitec Torado
Aventador... the final touch are the two carbon fiber covers that go onto the top section of the exterior rear view mirrors.
No official information has been released yet, but rest assured the power output will go up a little from the regular Huracan LP610 - 4, with the
Aventador we went from 700 to 750hp while on the Gallardo the difference between the LP560 - 4 and LP570 - 4 Superleggera was a mere 10hp, in case of the Huracan this could mean we are looking at an LP620 - 2 Superleggera... keeping in mind the Super Trofeo version is
also 620hp and rear wheel drive only.
Finally, the
Aventador - V ECU software flash for additional engine output is
also available, powered by Hex Flash.
Speaking about the Centenario, recent reports
also have it that the new
Aventador S will
also borrow the car «s rear - wheel steering system, which will make it faster and will improve its driving capabilities.
Like its Cayenne cousin and
Aventador stablemate, the Urus
also boasts rear - wheel steering, so that it can pivot the massive rims — they range from 21 to 23 inches tall — out back, besides the fronts.
As there is
also a really nice «hanging» rear wing mounted above the modified rear end on the
Aventador J... all finished in carbon fiber naturally, you might need a second look, but yes: those exhausts are even bigger now and the metal grilles took over a lot of «real estate» at the back.
The Lamborghini
Aventador SV
also present at the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d`Elegance was priced from a rough $ 493,069.
Under the hood, the Lamborghini
Aventador SV might use the same 6.5 - liter V12 naturally aspirated engine,
also fitted on the stock
Aventador, but churning out a higher 750 horsepower.
There's
also rear - wheel steering similar to what you get in the Lamborghini
Aventador S.
The front hood is
also replaced on this LB - Works
Aventador Limited, now featuring a pair of air vents to complete the aggressive look of this Japan style Raging Bull.
And this is where renowned DMC comes to the rescue... check out the DMC
Aventador E-GT,
also known as the Edizione - GT... albeit inspired by the Lamborghini Veneno styling this isn't a replica of that limited edition Bull, in fact it is so much more...
The differences in feel between old and new engine specs is less obvious than the chassis, but there's 39bhp extra, if no additional torque at 509 lb ft. Despite its 730bhp being just 10bhp shy of the hardcore
Aventador SV, the philosophy is different: the SV's 100 kg weight loss gives it permission to focus more on power, where Lamborghini's engineers have
also targeted driveable torque for the S.
Other gadgetry such as electronically controlled rear spoiler and side air intakes, multimedia system with 7 - inch screen, navigation and xenon lights
also complete the
Aventador experience.
Ok the DMC
Aventador E-GT might not have the same pedigree as the multi-million dollar Veneno does, but it isn't even in the same league when it comes to price either... and the entire kit will
also fit onto the
Aventador Roadster (without the special engine cover naturally) so for less than 25 % of the list price on a Veneno Roadster you'll end up with a DMC
Aventador LP988 - 4 Roadster Edizione - GT that offers more power... the only competition you might encounter would be a Mansory
Aventador Carbonado Apertos... but with 1,200 hp under the accelerator I wouldn't press it down too hard or this lady will bite back... only three Apertos will be made and they are priced at $ 1,200,000 each... for that kind of money you'll be able to get a DMC
Aventador LP988 - 4 Edizione - GT for the weekend, a DMC Huracán LP610 - 4 Affari and still have change to buy a nice Gallardo LP570 - 4 Performante for your «significant other»... so put in your order with DMC now...
A large racing - style rear wing will be the most obvious tell - tale element of the new
Aventador LP750 - 4 SuperVeloce, and like its predecessors the supercar will
also feature large (but not too large) SV lettering on the sides.
The car shares the same carbon - fiber chassis and
also weighs the same, 1575 kgs (dry) but what the
Aventador S gets as extra is the 4 wheel steering.
One of these was an amazing red DMC Edizione GT
Aventador LP988 - 4, the closest thing on the open road to the extremely rare Lamborghini Veneno, at a fraction of the cost... but that matte orange metallic Huracan in Geneva took all the attention... the DMC Omaggio
also called their Stage 2, which is a limited edition by the way.
The
Aventador, of course,
also follows the mid-engine concept, with the vehicle weight concentrated around the vertical axis to reduce inertia and optimize dynamics.
Remember PUR Wheels has recently confirmed they will
also be creating styling kits for the high end exotics they provide wheels for... PUR Aero was created and the first items available for the Lamborghini
Aventador were presented in September 2013... a deep front spoiler lip, a rear deck lid and a high riding rear wing were first to be unveiled.
Still 2013 will become a milestone year in the history of Automobili Lamborghini SpA, not only does it mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the company, but it will
also see a special celebration model taking the highlight of the stand during the 2013 Geneva Auto Show being flanked by both the
Aventador Roadster and the closed
Aventador LP700 - 4.
The wide range of exterior and interior colors and variants is perfect for individualization and, of course, «Ad Personam» is
also available for the
Aventador for the ultimate in personalization — where the only limits set are those of the imagination.
Naturally these wheels come in the slightly larger than standard 9x20 and 12.5 x21 inch size (the
Aventador Iperione wheels are 19 inch up front and 20 at the rear, however the optional Dione wheels available from the factory are
also 20 and 21 inch respectively)... note PUR Wheels has 22 inch tall versions of these RS05 available too.
Lamborghini
Aventador LP 700 - 4 is the latest addition to the super sports line - up by the Italian prestigious brand and is
also the fastest and more powerful mass - produced Lamborghini ever created.
When Automobili Lamborghini SpA unveiled their new Huracan Spyder in Los Angeles in November 2016 they didn't call it LP580 - 2 Spyder... but RWD Spyder and a quick look on the official website
also showed no more LP designation, not on the Huracan lineup and not on the
Aventador lineup... so when we found a trademark application for «
Aventador S» is is obvious the new, upcoming V12 facelift will not be called LP740 - 4 (rumor has it the new car will bring 740hp to the table) but simply be called
Aventador S.
In his garage you can find
also a Lamborghini
Aventador and a Mercedes G - Class.
If there will only be a different front bumper in
Aventador J style isn't disclosed yet by DMC, perhaps a new rear wing or rear diffuser is
also in the making, add to this the 900 bhp V12 tuning package already available from DMC and I think we'll be in for quite a surprise in a few days, I for one can't wait to see which card DMC is about to pull from their sleeve...
The PUR Wheels RS05 Monoblock Lightweight Forged wheel on this specific Lamborghini are finished in Brilliant Silver while the brake calipers received the optional Giallo shade... the owner had the original rear wing of his
Aventador replaced by a clear carbon fiber unit from DMC before the impressive Super Veloce style rear wing,
also from DMC, was installed together with the clear carbon fiber lower rear diffuser... which surrounds an IPE exhaust in this case.
If all the other rumors turn into a reality we will be seeing a completely new V10 model to replace the aging Gallardo (keep in mind it was originally introduced back in 2003) at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, probably called the Cabrera it will change the super car market once again as did the Gallardo, but the new LP700 - 4
Aventador will
also be joined by a Roadster version next year, so my guess would be a new V10 in Geneva and an
Aventador Roadster in Paris... why not?
The carbon fiber monocoque of the
Aventador is rarely seen, but reflecting the dominance of this lightweight material in the Superveloce,
also features in the car's interior.
