Not long ago I created the Chase Ink / Bluebird
Award Cost Chart, then followed up with the SPG / Bluebird Reward Cost Chart.
Not exact matches
However, the United
award chart shows that business class saver tickets only
cost 60,000 each way, or 120,000 round - trip for the same exact flight, a quarter of how many miles or points you would have needed with cash back or a statement credit.
Flying Blue doesn't have an
award chart on its site, but you can use its miles calculator to figure out what it'll
cost to get you where you want to go.
The
chart below shows the round - trip mileage
costs plus the round - trip taxes / fees that are required when booking
awards with Flying Blue miles.
For example, an American Airlines frequent flyer can use AAdvantage miles to book a flight on British Airways, and the
cost of that ticket will be based on the American Airlines mileage

cost to get to your destination of choice.

The new
award chart costs 22,500 each way, so the lowest priced option would be 45,000 r / t, this is 6,000 miles higher.
But I suspect there are a lot more situations like this, where increased redemption
costs under the new United
award chart — especially in premium cabins — will make it worth paying potentially astronomical fuel surcharges to their rivals.
Since I can redeem United miles on their partner airlines, in this case Lufthansa, at the same mileage
cost as on United metal, using the current
award chart I'll pay 100,000 United miles and $ 97 in taxes and fees.
