I was given
the Babywise book while I was pregnant, but unfortunately I didn't quite know how to enforce a schedule with my newborn.
Embarrassed to mention
the Babywise book, I tested the waters a bit by asking our pediatrician if she recommended a feeding schedule.
Finally home from the hospital, I reviewed
the Babywise book, preparing to tackle the schedule again just as soon as my son had gained enough weight.
The Babywise book itself says to NOT feed on a hyper - specific schedule, but to aim for a certain window between feeds and always feed when hungry, regardless of the time.

Babywise book one again and have been paying special attention to the breastfeeding information.
I feel like I comb through it everyday along side
my babywise books to gets helpful tips for little one.
If I tell people I followed
the Babywise books, I get criticized for it (though if you actually read those kinds of books, they never say to deny your child food or leave them to cry for hours on end).

Any parent SHOULD know NOT to let their child cry for hours!!!! Anyone who has read a
book on CIO («
Babywise», for example) should remember that there is no reason why a baby should cry that long.

book babywise and have since learned how stupid the whole western idea of solitary sleep is when you understand how human milk is produced and human milk for human bubs is obviously ideal although I am glad we have formula for situations in which it is impossible and feel for women who miss out on all the closeness of cosleeping / breastfeeding etc..
I always follow the eat, play, sleep cycle found in the «On Becoming
Babywise»
book, but other than that I don't try to take the sleep routine thing too seriously.

I was sleep deprived and desperate so I read the only baby
book i had at home,
Babywise.
we used
babywise for my son and he followed the
book to a T but my daughter has been more challenging (very fussy).
the rountine ive been having him on just winging it, i hadn't read any other
books until
babywise yesterday, is: wake up from sleeping say 10 am diaper change feed: between 15 - 45 mins say 10 - 10:30 wake time: 1 and a half hours say 10:30 - 12 (he's happy and awake until 40 mins until next feed and then is just miserable, i do everything to stop him crying, often he'll bob saying he's hungry but then at the same time i feel he's tired but every time i put him down to sleep, he wakes within 30 mins wanting to feed.
I love
babywise and are also readying Tracey Hoggs
book - but any advice you can offer is appreciated.
Ironically, I heard about AP through reading a
book that a friend recommended —
Babywise.
So for those of you out there who need something different... there is another way...
Babywise is an excellent
book to teach this method.

Babywise babe from day one.
If you are looking for long range discipline right from birth I suggest you ALSO read the
Babywise and Childwise
books by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam.
