Background animations look twitchy and not as smooth or detailed as what other games have done in the genre.

backgrounds are still fine, same with the rich colours, but general
animation has clearly been produced quicker
looking tackier, no sheen or gloss here.
Aesthetically, art director Rebecca Dart evokes the long - gone days of cel - based
animation in both the character designs and the
backgrounds: Consider the hand - drawn
look of the waterfalls around Canterlot, or the chain holding the cage in Tempest's airship.
This definitely
looks and feels like a Ghibli film, no doubt, from all the stunning
background art to the
animation to the fantasy elements and characters.

backgrounds woven together so smoothly you probably won't even notice where one leaves off and the other begins.
Samus
looks great, enemies have great
animations, and some of the set pieces and
backgrounds are fantastic with little things happening in them.
As seems to be a tradition, the stylized
animation achieves, more or less the
look of the previous film while not aspiring to the same level of artistic ambition in

The
backgrounds and characters may be breathtaking to
look at, but
animations are just a little jerky, like when Jerry is just walking around or when he's interacting with things, although I must stress that the
animation work is by no means bad.
The character
animations and
backgrounds are stunning, and even thought it's 2D, this game easily matches up with some of the best
looking 3D games on the market.
Not only do
backgrounds look like they belong on the SNES, the
animations (the few of them that exist) of lingering foodimals (animals made of food) are terrible and stale.
Regarding KOFXIV, I think the
animations look mostly good, but the 3D models and (especially)
backgrounds still need a lot of work.

looks excellent, with

animations and facial expressions marking a high - point for the series.
I must admit the level scenery
looks good, the layered
background is definately retro style, I like, but I've still got a horrible feeling the
animations won't
look good at all, the running
looks awful atm, that Robotnik at the end
looks awful and the controls / movement will not be spot on..
The levels are hand - drawn, with beautiful colors and nice
animations, but given the only variation between levels is, usually, the asset placement, you'll quickly get bored at
looking at the same
background over and over again.
In fact, Studio MDHR used traditional hand drawn cel
animation, watercolor
backgrounds, and original jazz recordings to faithfully recreate the
look and feel of the era.
While the Digimon models are still phenomenal, with lots of detail and great
animations, the environments still
look pretty generic, with dungeons being comprised of half a dozen platforms and a boring Matrix-esque
background.
The
animations moving in the
background makes everything
look fantastic.
You can rearrange which order the pics are shown in, the music playing in the
background (you can use either Microsoft's music selections or your own library), the duration of each, add captions either on or in between images, rotate them, use filters to change how they
look and you can even dictate if and how each clip pans across the screen (it lets you determine where each one starts and ends its
animation).
