A simple feature that's not turned on by default is the
option to show the
percentage of remaining
battery life in the status bar.
Nearly every Android phone includes the
option to display the
battery percentage next to the icon in the status bar — except it wasn't a stock feature until now.
This
option is still present in a way, but now, you can only opt to display the
percentage next to the
battery indicator in your status bar.
Inside you'll see your
battery percentage, an estimate of the time remaining, and two
options: Smart power saving and Watch mode.
The first
option will simply add a fourth column of Quick Settings tiles and adjust the brightness slider to fit, while the second
option will do the same, plus add
battery percentage text to the top of your pull - down menu.

Options here are Wi - Fi and cellular signal strength,

You're prompted to go into Power Reserve mode when you've got less than 10 percent of
battery life left, though you also have the
option of turning this mode on manually by swiping up on the watch's face to bring up Control Center, tapping the

They're not hugely informative icons, especially as there's no native
option for including the
battery percentage, or indicating whether you're actually getting the data connection that the full bars are suggesting, as is offered in many manufacturer re-skins of Android.
To keep you informed of your phone's
battery level, Google added the
option of displaying the
percentage levels of your
battery on Android phones.
If you never used the
battery percentage indicator
option then you likely won't be affected by this change at all, but for those that did use it this was a nice way to not only catch a glimpse of your
battery life by looking at the icon, but it made it so you really didn't have to guess at how much
battery life you had left, and you didn't have to enter into the
battery settings menu to find out what the
percentage was.

To see the
