you can ask
questions all you want, test it as much as you like but only you can decide to believe.I have
studied hell, read my books about, went to different websites and searched the
bible, for a Christian to fear hell is not possible.For one Christ himself said he is the only way to the father.So I think the fear of hell comes from guilt or their power freaks.
i think steve martin may be best keeping away from any church i go to if your preaching rot someone needs to say it, and im sorry but waiting till a mid week
bible study to voice that so as to not ruin the smooth running of your show do nt work for me, preaching needs to create room for doubt for
questions etc. still room for a passionate shared vision.
Instead of regurgitating the classic evangelical lines, when confronted with these logical problems /
questions, are you actually able to explain it in your own words, as if you've thought about it yourself, and not just attended
bible study?
From my
study of the
bible I had a hard time accepting the trinity I was told to teach and eventually it was one of the doctrines that made me
question the whole thing and
question the motives of my Church.
Just this morning I was thinking how nice it would be to host the ladies from my
bible study group for a «getting to know each other better» evening during early December: mulled wine, sweet and savory treats, a few printed
questions to start the conversations rolling: «What's on your car stereo right now?»
