Bioshock [$ 9.99] for iOS is finally
upon us, brining a new generation of
gamers and a new platform to the world of Rapture.
To compare, this choice was something actually greatly improved
upon by
Bioshock Infinite, a
game which gave its protagonist a distinct voice, a stated goal, and many vocalised interactions with his surroundings.
The announcement follows the reveal of two new pieces of DLC for the
game — one that looks to expand directly
upon the
game's setting, and the other that brings the protagonists of Infinite to the dark depths of Rapture from the first
BioShock games.
The first
Bioshock trailer, presented at 2006's E3 blew my mind, and what made it even more impressive was the fact that all of the narrative themes and aesthetic elements that looked so completely unique were maintained, and even improved
upon when
game was released in 2007.
