BlackBerry PlayBook users can now download
the BlackBerry Video Store on the App World.
Launching alongside the tablet is
the BlackBerry Video Store, available to Canadians for the first time.
The new
BlackBerry Video Store offers a few thousand titles to choose from, and is nicely sorted by genre, with options to rent or buy movies.
A new service called
the BlackBerry Video Store will also be made available for those that want to watch movies on their tablets.
The BlackBerry Video Store will also be introduced which will allow access to over 10k movies and TV shows on the PlayBook with ability to stream via HDMI on your TV.
Today also sees the release of
the BlackBerry Video Store in the US and «thousands of new apps» in the BlackBerry App World including a selection of Android apps that run on the PlayBook.

BlackBerry has added music and
video downloads to its app
store, now called just
BlackBerry World.
Twitter,
Video Chat, Youtube, Podcasts, Slacker Radio and the
Blackberry Music
Store are all installed!!
Clients can also access Bell Mobility's popular music service, Full Track Music, on the
BlackBerry Tour smartphone and can take advantage of the handset's microSD / SDHC memory card slot, which supports cards up to 16 GB to
store all their favorite songs,
videos and images.

Currently available only in the US, the
Video Store comes pre-installed on the
BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 software.

BlackBerry World, the
store also features music and
video
RIM said last week that it renamed its app
store to
BlackBerry World (from
BlackBerry App World) as it intended to add music and
video offerings to the service for
BlackBerry 10.
The
BlackBerry ® World ™ storefront, which now includes 70,000
BlackBerry 10 apps and one of the most robust music and
video catalogues in mobile today — with most movies coming to the
store the same day they are released on DVD.
The phone manufacturer's online
store now stocks a number of apps, music, and
videos for purchase and download, ahead of the company's global launch events for its
BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system and, most likely, new
BlackBerry smartphones.
Hopefully RIM moving to a unified login on the Beta Zone and
BlackBerry ID shows signs of things to come for other
BlackBerry services like the
BlackBerry Music and
Video store, one can hope.

video player, Amazon's Android App
