Bonus items often show up in the battlefield so you do have to take some care not to blow them up.

The levels in which your brawls take place are mostly forgettable,
often having only one viable route plus a number of optional areas where you might discover
bonus items, or an enemy base to capture in order to gain more rewards at the end of the mission.
A player receives a rank at the end of each battle and will get a certain amount of ryo and
items based on how well they did and there is
often a
bonus objective for each story mode task that can be performed to receive some extra
items as well.
