Some of the most common
mistakes authors and publishers make when it comes to interior
book design include omitting hyphens, incorrect margin size, imperfect justification, and allowing widow / orphan lines of text.
But underestimating the importance of professional interior
book design is a
mistake, even during a heyday of digital formats and e-reading.
I've invested thousands of dollars into online
book design tools and resources, to help indie authors
design better
books without making amateur
mistakes.
This
mistake leads to big problems: a
book with gaping holes and humiliating errors, a shallow and ineffective marketing plan, a bad first impression due to an amateurish cover
design, launch delays, and more.
Capcom seems to be taking a page or two out of Silent Hill's
book on freaky ass creature
design, because the creatures that star in this latest batch of art and screenshots that were posted on the official Resident Evil Facebook are just gross enough that I could
mistake a few of them as belonging to our favorite foggy town.
