does duty on the Ciaz.
Ford has been facing stiff competition from the Vitara
Brezza and with the addition of new features the company hopes to attract customers who
did not choose the EcoSport mainly due to the absence of touchscreen.
So how
does the Nexon AMT (diesel) compare against the Vitara
Brezza and how
does the Nexon AMT (petrol) stack up against the EcoSport AT?
The Nexon also gets a 6 - speed AMT gearbox while the Maruti
does the job with a 5 - speed unit and because of the relatively smaller diesel engine, the
Brezza is more fuel - efficient than the Nexon.
It
does 20 - 80kmph in third in just 9.89 seconds and takes 12.02 seconds to accelerate from 40 - 100kmph in fourth, resulting in significantly quicker roll - on times compared to its arch rival, the Vitara
Brezza.
There is no denying that it becomes noisy at higher revs but it
does feel more refined than the
Brezza's motor.
We
do hope that the people who have rushed to Maruti dealership in anticipation of getting their hands on the Vitara
Brezza are soon handed over the keys.

did not have Android Auto bundled with the system from day 1.
Being the tallest has nothing to
do with ground clearance as the TUV here has the lowest ground clearance of 180 mm while the EcoSport and Vitara
Brezza enjoy a clearance of 200 mm and 198 mm respectively.
Using the 1.4 - litre petrol unit from the Ertiga / Ciaz doesn't make sense either as the Vitara
Brezza is a sub 4 - metre compact SUV which will miss out on excise duty benefits.
The two diesel - only, body - on - frame offerings from Mahindra, the TUV300 and the NuvoSport, come with a 5 - speed AMT while the Honda WR - V and the best - selling sub-4m SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara
Brezza, don't get an automatic option as of now.
