I've been on the look out for good fares since the beginning of August and, while American did post a somewhat tempting Economy Class fare from London back in September,
the Business Class fares out of Europe have come nowhere near what I'm prepared to pay....

I'm happy that I'm going to get to try
out the Iberia A350
Business Class cabin without having to find a good long - haul
Business Class fare (or burn a lot of Avios / AAdvantage Miles) but I'm delighted that I got such good value
out of the 3,000 Ultimate Rewards points I used.
Premium economy and
business class were sold
out, though later in March and in April,
fares dipped to $ 3,734 in premium economy and $ 5,139 in
business class round - trip.
While First
Class is
out of the reach of most us under normal circumstances it comes within reach when you combine some of the very good British Airways

I'm hoping to try
out the Singapore Airlines all - premium cabin Airbus A350 - 900ULR when it comes into service in 2018/2019 and, as I'm unlikely to want to (or be in a position to) part with the amount of cash a
Business Class fare between Singapore and New York will cost (that's the route I'm hoping to book), KrisFlyer miles will be my best option for securing a seat.
I spend a lot of time flying
out of Europe nowadays and the discounted
Business Class fares I can book mean that I'm seriously reconsidering the point of having EXP status.
All three US legacy carriers now offer some form of Basic Economy
fares, American has only just backed away from the idea of introducing cabins with just 29 ″ of legroom, United got everyone excited with its Polaris
Business Class product up until the point we realised that it will be a gazillion years before it's fully rolled
out and Delta has a long haul fleet that makes Mel Brooks look young.
This is a truly excellent
fare for anyone looking to try
out Emirates» best
Business Class product and the fact that the travel period is so broad is a very nice bonus too.
Award Chart devaluations, Partner award chart devaluations, slashed mileage earnings, and a reduction in the number of SWUs handed
out have all been bitter pills to swallow in the past few weeks but, for me, losing the ability to upgrade into
Business Class from an Economy
fare would probably be the final straw.
I haven't noticed any
fares that leap
out at me as being great deals but if you're looking to book a
Business Class fare to Asia then it's worth having a look through the promotion just in case something works for you.

Business Class sale
out of the UK (follow the link) but the
fares I'm posting below blow that one
out of the water.
As I was trying to figure
out how to make the most of the current good Qatar Airways deals between Europe and Dubai I accidentally stumbled upon a truly amazing
Business Class fare from Lufthansa.
Plus the airlines are now able to get an additional $ 1,100
out of you for that
business class fare, in doing that they don't have to discount the ticket which is what has happened in past years.
The one that stands
out is the Holiday Inn Helsinki Vantaa Airport which could come in useful for anyone making the most of some of Finnair's good
business class fares to Asia and the US.
I fully expect there to be an all -
out Business Class fare war in July and August next year so, if you're looking to fly to / from Europe in either of those months, I wouldn't rush to book any awards that would cost you a lot to cancel.
I've started to see more and more good transatlantic
Business Class fares in past few weeks with
fares to Chicago from $ 1,680,
fares to Vegas from around $ 1,620, a great sale
out of Prague which saw flight prices as low as $ 1,346 and, of course, the amazingly low
fares I posted yesterday.
I can't say that I'd bother checking this route for Economy
Class seats if I wanted to fly to China (there are enough uncomfortable ways for me to do that straight
out of LA) but I'd definitely be interested in trying
out the
Business Class product — I'll keep my eyes on
fares and see if anything interesting comes up.
Even when you calculate your 40K United miles at about 1.5 cents per mile ($ 600, or $ 2,989 total), you still come
out way ahead of the
business class fare.
That status will get me 25 % tier bonus Etihad Guest miles on eligible flights; an excess baggage allowance of 10 kilograms; access to the Al Reem Lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport (even when flying coach), as well as
business -
class lounges at other airports in the network where offered; and a guaranteed economy -
class seat on a sold -
out Etihad flight, provided the booking is made in an eligible
fare class and requested at least 48 hours prior to scheduled departure.
Discounted
business class can be surprisingly affordable, and paying full
fare for one person may wipe
out any savings.

Most of us will completely ignore any
Business Class fare as it seems
out of reach.
