I have scored these gathered nuts with a knife and roasted them — once in the oven, once
on our outdoor grill — and eaten the pale yellow flesh with
butter and a
bit of cinnamon sugar.
The nuts and nut
butter give you such an amazing boost of plant - protein, while the dates give you lots of fibre, the coconut oil is full of life - giving fats and the baobab doses you up
on insane amounts of iron and vitamin C — so you'll be buzzing after every
bite!
The BB Test kitchen used

bit of weight, only about 3/4 pounds but I think I may be eating too much maple syrup / nut
butter etc..
There's also an amazing amount of plant protein in here too from the almonds, nut
butter and pecans so each
bite will energise you, leaving you feeling awesome instead of lethargic, while the dates dose you up
on iron and fibre and the coconut oil gives you anti-inflamatory goodness!
In my case, I changed 2 dates for a
bit of stevia - dates are kind of difficult to find in my country so I need to be very conservative
on their use - and used peanut
butter instead of almond — i just didn't have any almond!
The white chocolate drizzle, made with cacao
butter and cashews, adds a nice, extra
bit of texture to the creamy berry base, but the creamsicles are great
on their own as well, in case you don't want to bother with the drizzle.
I'll easily eat them
on their own, sautéed in a little
bit of
butter, but man, throw them in a lasagna with copious amounts of cheese and béchamel sauce and I'm DONE.
Once the almond
butter layer is set, pour
on the rest of the chocolate (if it hardened a
bit, you can microwave it briefly until it's pourable again) and refrigerate until set.
I sometimes add a
bit of almond
butter on it.
For the big game, I'll be cheering
on The Ohio State Buckeyes and serving these festive Crispy Marshmallow and Almond

on holidays and away
on vacations) one of these muffins with my cup of coffee will be heaven!!
I decided
on the infused
butter route because it would help give the cornbread a
bit of a
butter crust (because it isn't incorporated into the batter)... but think of all the fun thinkings you could do with a spicy simple syrup.
Place about 1/3 cup of the batter into the waffle iron and sprinkle a
bit of the remaining coconut sugar
on top of the batter in the waffle iron (you may want to grease the iron with coconut oil or
butter to keep sugar from sticking), then close the iron and cook according to your iron's directions.

I'm very proud of this creation because, like with the Banana Peanut
Butter Bites (shared
on my weight - loss blog), it's all my own — I didn't even do an internet search for recipe inspiration before throwing it together.
This one was inspired by Reese's Peanut
Butter Chocolate Eggs (these ones), which are a
bit like a chocolate egg sliced in half: perfectly ovoid
on top and flat
on the bottom, filled with creamy peanut buttery deliciousness.
Bits of madeleines stuck to the
butter side but nothing stuck
on the Pam side.
Lastly, and this is totally optional, but if I'm feeling decadent, I usually melt a
bit of peanut
butter to drizzle
on top.
No ham, but had a
bit of bacon so used it as fat (instead of
butter) to cook onions and garlic (
on saute setting in the IP), plus added cumin here.
There's something of marscapone and cream cheese in the chocolate's aroma, and something of golden syrup in the taste, while the «lightly salted pistachios» remind me a little
bit of melted
butter on toast.

On the other hand, if your peanut
butter is unsweetened / lower - sugar and / or you opt not to include the chocolate chips, you may want to squeeze in a
bit more honey.
1) Put flour, salt, sugar and melted
butter in a mixing bowl 2) Pour in warm water

I normally made this family favorite by steaming in a frying pan with a little
bit of
butter - but last fall I discovered roasting and eating asparagus this way took
on a whole new dimension!
While the rainy days passed, I scribbled notes of browned
butter, a
bit of cream, maybe some shaved grano padano cheese
on top.
Now, one more thing before I go and let you get your chocolate making
on, these deliciously simple, secretly healthy dark chocolate peanut
butter fudge
bites we're making... they aren't for the faint of heart.
(But a note: from personal experience, the non-highly processed peanut
butter does not work ONE
BIT on the cookies I'm used to making (the one - to - one - to - one ratio kind).

I developed this no bake peanut
butter apple
bites recipe so I had easy, healthy snacks this week to munch
on while I get back into my groove.
It depends a
bit on how thick the cashew
butter is.
This recipe uses peanut
butter powder instead of peanut
butter to save a
bit on the calories and fat, but it still has that indulgent creamy peanut
butter flavor.

If you melt the
butter really early
on and it goes solid then just apply a little
bit of heat to the pot and it will go runny again in a flash.
And when you're ready to eat your muffin, spread a
bit of almond
butter on it before rushing out the door.
