I wanted to make an easy breakfast recipe using the fresh summer berries from
my CSA so I decided to switch out the Pumpkin in my Pumpkin Waffles with strawberries.

CSA vegetables, but I haven't already paid for these,
so I have to shell out money, which detracts slightly.
It's unlikely the
CSA will get out ahead of the SEC
so it could take some time yet before something substantial actually happens but the discussion thus far has been viewed by all to be positive.
So when is the
CSA response expected?
I have some fennel left over from our

I joined a
CSA this year, and
so I picked up farm fresh fruits and vegetables of the season once a week right by my house.
I have a jar of pickled beet eggs in my refrigerator from our winter
CSA box,
so I'll have to try making this beautiful salad with them.
I have
so many extra veggies from the
CSA and now I know what to do with them!!
The strawberries in the local
CSA's are
so incredibly sweet they taste like candy and the rhubarb, which is most often tart, has a slight sweetness to it as well, giving a wonderfully balanced flavor.
I had a fridge full of carrots, broccoli, and tomatoes begging to be used from my
CSA,
so that's what I did.
I've had them in
CSA boxes,
so I've eaten them.
i was given some carrots from someone else's
CSA box & thought i waited a day too long... but the slight softening was fine
so i didn't have to roast as long.

so I bought 4 cases from my
CSA.
So I have been really patient waiting and waiting for our summer
CSA at Arcana Gardens and Greenhouses to begin.

so tried a new recipe — a cozy kitchen's heirloom tomato jam.
We have both a veggie garden and we are sharing a

So lem me explain:
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.
So last week was my first time participating in a Community Supported Agriculture, or
CSA.
Onions have been a big part of my
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) box
so far this year.
As luck would have it, I got a lovely head of broccoli in my
CSA bundle this week,
so I'm going to try and recreate it on my own.
We've had some really fantastic green beans in our
CSA the last few weeks - truly perfect just as they are but that browned butter sounds
so good.
I was
so excited to see asparagus and strawberries in my
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) veggies this week.
So, when we received our final
CSA veggie box this week, I set my mind to stepping into my kitchen again.
I love veggie burgers this time of year,
so I'm thinking I need to whip these up as soon as the zucchini shows in my
CSA.
I just added beets to my
csa box order
so I can make this salad.
I have one last
CSA pickup on Monday
so maybe they will have one in the box:)
I've never tried out a

Lots of the farmers I buy from have a winter
CSA,
so between that and my VERY modest raised bed garden, we get wonderful fresh, local food year» round.
I had to use up the rest of our
CSA veggie box,
so I substituted dino kale for the chard and did a mix of white and orange sweet potatoes.
We had about 4 or 5 butternut squashes sitting in the pantry from our
CSA that I was getting worried would go to waste
so I decided that soup is the quickest think to do with them.
I don't have the luxury (or the stress, depending on how you look at it) to get more than my own
CSA share,
so i usually go through all of it without having to make the «use up» recipes.
I've tried using kale and collards
so far, but I have some bok choy from my
CSA box I will either make into chips or use in a miso soup.
Since I had done such an expert job of seeding the tomatoes, the salsa turned out a little dry,
so I added a handful of chopped cherry tomatoes that I had on hand from my
CSA pick - up.
I didn't have tomato sauce, but I DID have some fresh tomatoes from my
CSA,
so I gave those a rough chop and threw them in a pot with some salt to make sauce while I sliced the rest of the vegetables.
We had a ton of apples from previous
CSA shipments, and Lisa has recently been experimenting with Agave Nectar as a sweetner,
so this recipe that Cathy found on About.com fit the bill.

CSA had happened to deliver something like two dozen beets to me that week (seriously that's not an exaggeration), and I had some tortillas on hand as well,
so I threw together some tacos and they turned out delicious.
So instead of putting it on the menu, I made a delicious quinoa recipe on Saturday with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and garlic from our
CSA pick - up, along with parsley, chives and mint from our garden, and didn't utter the 8 letter word.
