Many first - time parents freak out when they look at the
calendar and realize they'll need to change the
clocks one way or the other in the upcoming
weeks.
Eichhorn's piece — and Steiner's curtailing of Koenig & Clinon's hours — recall Asher's proposal for the 2010 Whitney Biennial, to keep the museum open around the
clock for a
week (the Whitney agreed to three days, citing «budgetary and human resources limitations»), in reverse: rather than expand hours to promote inclusiveness, to welcome new people in to the institution, these works freed time for (mostly) modestly paid workers while slowing down an art
calendar that overflows with action.
