We descend to the nearby village of Aguas
Calientes for return in late afternoon by train, arriving into Cuzco

After the tour, you will have some free time to wander
around, and then you will meet with the rest of the group to drive by bus down to Aguas
Calientes.
In the afternoon, bus ride back to Aguas
Calientes to board the train that will take us back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time
around 8.30 - 9.00 pm.
Around 2:00 pm start down to Aguas
Calientes for lunch and your Train return.
At
around 2:30 or 3 p.m., you will need to take the bus back down to Aguas
Calientes to enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants there.
If you are short on time or on a tight budget, this is a great option if you want to explore the Andes and the luscious green landscape
around Aguas
Calientes.
Most of the visitors arrive in Aguas
Calientes (the closest city to Machu Picchu) by train from Cusco, and the first train arrives
around 10:00.
In Machu Picchu, you can find many places to shop from modern handicrafts inspired in pre-Columbian Andean art, woolens, textiles, pottery, jewelry, art and that perfectly souvenir all
around the town of Aguas
Calientes.
The journey takes 20 minutes following a winding road up to Machu Picchu with
around 25 buses operating the route at any one time, however, expect long queues during the high season especially, and allow at least 30 - 40 minutes to get a bus back to Aguas
Calientes if leaving Machu Picchu between 12pm - 2 pm when everyone's keen to get lunch.
