While our focus here is on national
assessments, and in the United States in particular, the project of improving such
assessments is an international one, with parallel efforts in other countries or regions (e.g. UK Committee on Climate Change 2017,
California's four Climate Change
Assessments12); the need for peer
learning between respective efforts is critical and often overlooked.
