number of inspirations stretching from classic ghost story horror cinema to the recent wave of found footage
films but at the same time because of such great execution you could never actually
call it generic.
By
calling the
film Predators the filmmakers are evoking the relationship between the original Alien
film and its sequel Aliens by implying that Predators is the rightful follow - up
film to Predator and promises to up the ante in terms of action and the
number of creatures for the human characters to contend with.
The documentary is accompanied by a
number of interesting
films: three shorts made at the Champion studio from 1910 to 1913, an early documentary short about Fort Lee by Theodore Huff and Mark A. Borgotta, a feature
called The Danger Game starring Madge Kennedy, an early Mack Sennett comedy short, and a 31 - minute version of Robin Hood released by Éclair America in 1912.
The cover story, «Grade B — But Choice,» is devoted to an obscure 1934 musical
called «Young and Beautiful,» featuring «budding starlets, grade - A character actors, grade - B musical
numbers, a pair of vaudevillians, a look behind the scenes of Hollywood, bogus appearances by Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton and a script by Dore Schary» [later famous as a producer of
films such as «Crossfire,» «Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House,» «They Live By Night» and «The Red Badge of Courage»].
Although the
film is
called «He's Just Not That Into You,» Kwapis tries to balance out the equation by including an equal
number of dumped guys, but the ploy is halfhearted.
Tony, of course, has his zippy metal power suits, but a
number of the other characters do, too, including Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), who after the opening fight spends the entire
film trying and failing to
call forth his inner Hulk.
PH: A few years ago, I was an actor in a
film called «Rudyard Kipling's Mark of the Beast,» and while on the set a
number of people were talking endlessly and enthusiastically about the Tommy Wiseau
film «The Room.»

Stars Segel and Adams take a back seat for most of the antics once the Muppets take over the screen (not a bad thing in a
film called The Muppets), but they do get their chances to shine, particularly in the aforementioned song and dance
numbers.
We'll never know that if this movie were
called The Cellar (the name of the original spec script) or No Escape (the name of Dan Trachtenberg's short
film based in the Portal universe that may have served as the
calling card that got him the gig, and there are quite a few parallels between the two projects) or any
number of other names it would have been a more satisfying whole.
In fact, this device comprises the entire soundtrack of the

number of reasons, but Marlon Brando's stellar acting remains its

called The Musketeer rather than The Three Musketeers is no accident; actually, a more appropriate title would've been The Super-Musketeer, for this version of D'Artagnan is downright invincible, able to defeat any
