A wonderfully put together book, the Art of
Castlevania is a fantastic read
for anyone with an appreciation
for game design and art, not just of the trilogy itself, though
for obvious those who have stuck with MercurySteam's Lords of Shadow titles from beginning to end will draw far more satisfaction from these pages.
Now if they will only drop Simon Belmont from
Castlevania into the
game... they can clone away after that,
for all I care.
make sure you get the subsistance version, also take a look at all the extras on the bonus second disc, there are some really funny alternate sequences that cant be miss... Solid Sigint... Anyways yea i agree
for the most part that MGS4 wins that contest, but i think they left a few great endings from from the psone era, such as xenogears... maybe im just a little biased They should probably make a list of worst endings next, such as

Since FF
games have no fantasy elements anymore, then the only reason to use the name is
for name recognition, like
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Final Fantasy Explorers, Ultimate Spider - Man, etc..
It is also unknown who will be handling the development of
Castlevania Rebirth; M2 handled the development
for the other two Rebirth
games, but series mainstay Koji Igarashi has been very quiet as of late as well.
The two are no different,
Castlevania might even be worse
for producing the same
game more than once.
6 - player coop sounds like an odd idea
for the 2D
Castlevania games, but I'm inclined to hope it's one of those ideas that are so crazy that they just might work.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 doesn't life until the 25th of this month, but Edge magazine have already published their verdict on Dracula's outing, rating the
game a surprising four out of ten.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is a still a bit of a ways off (February 2014), so Konami has put a sweet package together
for fans of
Castlevania who may have missed out on the previous
games in the series.
As the
game opens we find Dracula awakening to a world of skyscrapers, cars and mobile phones, a far cry from the settings that
Castlevania is known
for.
However, if the fighting doesn't pep up a bit then it will all be
for naught as that is obviously the main draw of the
game and we don't want to end up with another
Castlevania: Judgement on our hands.

Most of the
game titles I'm stoked
for weren't even mentioned in their pressers, like the new
Castlevania on XBLA.
But while Vampire Killer is by no means a bad
game, most consider
Castlevania as the template
for the first ten years of the franchise, and its rigid physics and highly deliberate level design have yet to be matched.
Salt and Sanctuary was like Dark Souls meets
Castlevania and I loved it, Nioh was like Dark Souls with Samurai and it's a forerunner
for my
game of the year.
