Was thinking about
doing this with lovage instead of looking about for
celery with
leaves (cause I have lovage in my garden anyway...) just a suggestion.
This fall, I got a few heads of really leafy
celery from the farmers market and didn't want to just throw away all those
leaves, so I decided to experiment and made
celery salt.
Yet, the addition of lightly blanched fresh green beans,
celery leaves and fresh basil to our buttery Boston Bibb lettuce
did make this salad better than your garden variety.
The original recipe called for a pound of fennel, but I switched it up by adding sliced
celery and fresh salad mix (any lettuce will
do but I used an Italian Romaine, green
leaf and cabbage mix).
My boyfriend doesn't eat
celery, so I
left that out.

celery seed, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 tsp dried yellow mustard seed, 1/2 tsp red pepper, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 2 dried bay
leaves, 6 whole cloves, 6 allspice seeds, & 1/8 tsp cardamom seeds in a spice mill.

i have adjusted it a little: — 2 stalks of
celery — 1 carrot — 1 zucchini — 1/2 broccoli — power boiled black eyed beans with a powdered shitake «stock» i got from thailand — 1 sprig of the following: fresh oregano, thyme and rosemary (took the rosemary out after the onion had browned but
left the rest in)-- 2 fresh bay
leaves dried over time (they just
do not compare to the packaged ones) and i will chop up kale and add just at the end, and also make some kale chips to sprinkle on top.
I don't have a salt idea but my stepmother would always use
celery leaves, oregano, and parsley to favor her marinara then she would add a bunch of veggies to it.
A great idea:D Finally something I can
do with the enormous bunches of
celery leaves I have
left over.
P.S. Don't discard the inner
leaves of your
celery — they're tender and flavorful.
Don't skip the
celery leaves: they may seem delicate, but they pack a lot of flavor.

did not work alone for me, but the Life Extension product that adds
celery seed
did bring my bp back down.
What I
did is I used the bones with chicken bones I had
left from dinner, added some vegetables (
celery, carrot, parsnip, garlic, etc.) and cooked it for about 12 hours.
