recovery is not easy for an elective
cesarean patient.
For example, women who achieve VBAC avoid major abdominal surgery and have lower rates of hemorrhage, thromboembolism, and infection, and a shorter
recovery period than women who have an elective repeat
cesarean delivery (2, 3, 7, 9, 33).
