Fitness level required — my bootcamps are
challenging but for all
workouts I do provide 2 levels of modifications so all
moves can be down low / no impact and many can be taken down to meet all fitness levels.
During the
challenge workouts, I always choose a
move that warms up your entire body to start the circuit, so you won't really have to worry about this while doing the
challenge workouts.
I'd recommend doing this sequence and adding any parts of it into your regular routine that you found particularly
challenging moving forward as a little warmup to your
workouts.
The more
challenging ab
workouts also stabilize the pelvis and get your arms and legs
moving.
By adding a medicine ball to some
moves, you add even more intensity, making this a
challenging core
workout.
Take it slow and steady, and make your way up once you've mastered a
move or developed your core strength enough to take on more
challenging ab
workouts.
From a time perspective, no matter where you are when you stop, you've hit all the
moves at various speeds and will have experienced a
workout that both feels
challenging and provides a benefit to your entire muscular and cardiovascular systems.

Once you've developed a base level of strength (2 - 4 weeks) with the Beginner Ab
Workout, you can
move on to more
challenging workouts.
They will help you align and center yourself as you
move toward a more
challenging workout.
To do this
workout, repeat each
move for a number of reps that is comfortable, yet
challenging.

The

Workouts are simple to follow and allow you to focus on your body (not somebody else), but
challenging enough that you'll really feel it.
I have a great collection of her
workouts dating back to the 80's and although I am not able to do any of the more
challenging workout that require a lot of jumping around and
moving very quickly, I still do the beginner / intermediate
workouts that Kathy has put together recently and enjoy her classes and the variety she provides in her DVDs.
