I will say we
did have mini slider cheesburgers as part of a kids menu at our wedding which was in a boutique hotel, as part of a kids menu (personal
pizza,
chicken nuggets, or sliders) and they were a HUGE hit and even the adults were envious so I recommend this idea and this recipe looks like it'd be a good one to use for that!

does not need refrigeration, pepperoni sticks, non refrigeratable
pizza crusts, canned
pizza sauces applesauce in plastic jars, cans of
chicken and dumplings, SPAM or Treet luncheon meat, Pop Tarts, fruit snacks, instant oatmeal or cream of wheat.

My seven year old doesn't eat anything healthy unless you consider spaghetti,
pizza, pumpernickel and cream cheese, pancakes, candy, chips, pretzels, or
chicken nuggets healthy — and he hasn't eaten a fruit or vegetable since I closed up those baby food jars when he was a year old!
, sushi restaurants, ethiopian, Coreen, portuguese etc. and never ever force her to eat the horrible kids menus made of
chicken fingers and
pizza (she
does love my homemade sourdough
pizza topped with proscuitto, kale, mushrooms and sharp mix of cheeses, that said!).

If your lodging includes a kitchen, bring food so you don't have to eat out every meal, but during the weekend we ate dinner at the Fire Tower Restaurant (Violet said their macaroni and cheese was the best she's ever tasted and Laurel loved the
chicken, apple, and brie calzone), had amazing sandwiches and coffee from the Stratton Mountain Deli, and yummy
pizza at Village Pie, all of which rendered leftovers for our final lunch before we left.
There
does seem to be an over-reliance on potatoes (and, thanks to the successful lobbying of potato growers, the new federal school meal standards won't prevent that practice from continuing), and the entrees tend to fall into the «doctored junk food» category of
pizza,
chicken nuggets and hot dogs.
(Bravo to any parent or dietitian who can claim differently, but if you are like me and struggle with time, us dietitians
do occasionally bring out the highly processed or fried foods like
chicken nuggets, fish sticks, frozen
pizza or whatever it is, as long as its fast and easy).
even when they make «healthier» options available, kids who don't yet have the maturity to make a good choice when poor ones are available, will rarely choose more nutritious foods when favorites like
pizza, burgers and
chicken sandwiches are available.
American lunches of 4 fried
chicken nuggets, or a slice of pre-frozen
pizza that doesn't even taste like
pizza, are too small for most children to eat and not feel hungry.
Yeah I may live off frozen
chicken tenders for weeks and maybe break down and get a
pizza for a week but if that means I can go to a new city every month I am going to
do it.
For a little while I got free lunches at school, and some of my friends didn't, and we all queued up together incidentally, so this is completely irrelevant - what really united us was the common opinion that the food we were presented with was seldom «hot» and rarely «healthy» (usually
pizza and chips, pie and chips,
chicken kiev and chips, burger and chips, chips with gravy and chips).
That being said, it
