Hollein begins his new role as the 10th director of the iconic New York City art museum this summer.

Served as a museum director for almost thirty years in Atlanta, Toronto, New York City, Indianapolis, and Dallas.

Lehman has served as President of the Association of Art Museum Directors and is Chair of the Cultural Institutions Group of New York City, representing 33 major cultural institutions.

The Institute of Contemporary Art Philadelphia organized a 2003 mid-career retrospective that traveled to the Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati and the Kemper Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO and was accompanied by a monograph publication with contributions by Ingrid Schaffner, Tim Griffin and, Irving Sandler along with an interview between the artist and former ICA director Claudia Gould.

He was a founding director of the Museum of Installation (1990 - 2003), curating over 200 individual and collective installation projects in London, Berlin, Brussels, Mexico City, Los Angeles and other locations.

Six months after Agustín Arteaga joined the Dallas Museum of Art as its new director, visitors to the DMA will benefit from one of his last initiatives at his previous post running the Museo Nacional de Arte in Mexico City.
