tax due dates, its own
tax rates, and its own
system of
property assessment.
The data would then be posted on the Portland Maps
system, a searchable
city database that also lists
property tax, sales price, liens, building improvements and other data on all
properties within the
city.
Property taxes in South Dakota can be levied by any of the following
tax authorities: school districts,
cities, townships, counties, water districts and additional special districts for specific purposes such as fire protection or sanitary
systems.
Philadelphia enacted the Actual Value Initiative in 2014 to make the
city's
property tax system more simple and equitable.
To help home owners whose
