Policies bear fruit in China and Indonesia, but universal access to
clean cooking remains elusive in most of sub-Saharan Africa and many parts of developing Asia.
Today, an estimated 2.8 billion do not have access to
clean cooking facilities.
There has been some progress: since 2000, the number of people in developing countries with access to
