Another talking point is that Arsene Wenger is currently in the last year of his contract, so unless he is to sign another extension, he really needs to achieve something big as a way to end his 21 year legacy at the helm of the club.

Good point, but how many other managers are there with so much respect that they can convince players to join a club that is building it's way to the summit, most of them join a team that is already at the top.

why was Sanchez truly playing... no one believes he was too injured to play to start the season, and some like myself would go as far to suggest he wasn't injured at all... so why play him... they can't say it was to appease the fans because when was that ever a factor at this club except when «panic buys» were in the offing...
