When thoroughly chilled, being careful not to shake, open up the two cans of straight
coconut milk and (depending on whether you have opened the can with the cream or liquid layer
at the top) either tip off the
coconut water into a glass and scoop out the
coconut cream that is left into a bowl, or scoop the
coconut cream off the top to a bowl and pour the leftover
coconut water into a glass (save the
coconut water to drink or put in a
smoothie).
So, taking a bit of a break from pumpkin spice and everything nice, (
at least for today), we're making a delicious Pomegranate
Coconut Smoothie that will hopefully get you all excited about fall
smoothies in a whole new way.
A: It'll end up chunky if your
smoothie is too cool (
coconut oil melts
at 76 degrees F), or if your blending tool isn't powerful enough.
Scoop out the
coconut cream on top of the can, careful not to scoop out the liquid
at the bottom (keep the
coconut water for
smoothies!).
But I put his mind
at ease when I told him I'll include a scoop of
coconut oil in my
smoothies.

I remember doing this once before and i had a fruit
smoothie at my gym (strawberry & pineapple, non-fat yogurt,
coconut and protein powder) I had the
smoothie about 10 minutes after my workout.
I personally like to add something crunchy
at the end, so that I have something to chew (which stimulates the digestive enzymes in my mouth and gets my digestion process started), so I add some
coconut flakes, slivered almonds, chopped cashews, cacao nibs, goji berries, mulberries, etc., as «toppings» to my creamy
smoothie.

smoothie at home, provided you go easy on the fruit and add in healthful additions like spinach and

how about ingesting some high quality fat or

smoothie with lots of fat from
coconut milk or almond milk, maybe a tbl of MCT oil, along with greens and perhaps a high protein, moderate fat powder like Primal Fuel?
1/2 -1 cup almond milk (use less for a thicker consistency) 1/2 cup cauliflower, steamed and frozen 1 tablespoon cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder 1 tablespoon almond butter (or organic peanut butter) 1 large banana, sliced and frozen ahead of time 1/4 avocado (or more) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 scoop protein powder (optional) Pinch of sea salt 2 teaspoons shredded
coconut (optional but good) 1 - 2 teaspoons cacao nibs (pulse

ryan; hi, i buy the chia seed powder from the bulk barn and I have had really good results from putting this powder in my
smoothies along with protein powder, frozen fruit, half a frozen banana, natrel milk, or almond,
coconut, cashew, rice dream milk,
