I sip
on it first thing in the morning, I'll bring it along in the car when I'm carting my kids around town, and when it's time to sit down at the computer to share
recipes with you, I always have a glass of iced
coffee within arms reach.

It's a pretty uneventful day, there is usually a morning stroll to grab

Of course, once I receive the cookbooks, I hide in my office with a cup of

Let's take a sweet turn
on the simple
recipe subject: a delicious and tender cake, that goes wonderfully with a cup of tea or
coffee — making it could not be easier: you just throw all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix well; no elbow grease needed — the electric mixer will take care of that for you.
The
recipe also calls for 2 tablespoons of fine oatmeal for sprinkling
on top, I didn't have any to hand and didn't want to buy a bag just for two tablespoons so I just popped 2 tablespoons of the rolled oats in my
coffee grinder and 5 seconds later hey presto!
On that note, if you are not a fan of
coffee — or are making these for kids — you can absolutely omit the espresso powder in both of these
recipes.

I found the
recipe below
on CookingLight.com — it combines two loves —
coffee and ice cream; I'll let you know how it turns out!
I used it for sourdough pizza, and also made the
recipe on the bag, Tuscan
coffee cake, in which I also used my sourdough starter by decreasing the water and flour.
