The EEA, which was launched in 1993 and should be up and running
by the
autumn, will mainly coordinate environmental monitoring across the European Union, as a basis for
common environmental regulations.
Thus the two important art shows held in the
autumn of 1962 - one curated
by Walter Hopps at the Pasadena Art Museum, the other at the Sidney Janis Gallery in New York - were entitled «The New Painting of
Common Objects» (Pasadena) and «New Realism» (New York).
