San Diego Humane Society offers San Diegans a wide range of programs and services that strengthen the human -
animal bond, prevent cruelty / neglect, provide medical care, educate the

animals and provide safety net services for all pet families needing
assistance with keeping their pets.
ARK representatives,
community supporters and
animal welfare advocates from around the state are have offered
assistance and are focused on rebuilding.
We strive to provide quality service, excellent customer service and an invaluable

We find quality homes for homeless companion
animals, provide low - cost or free spay and neuter for pets of qualified pet owners in the areas mentioned above, as well as
assistance with Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) of
community (feral and free - roaming) cats, particularly in the under - served Arizona Strip.
This will help ensure that in emergencies there is accurate information regarding
animal issues being distributed to the

Community services include
animal cruelty investigation, accessible wellness care, lost / found pet
assistance,
animal admission and ambulance transport for sick / injured strays.
In order to serve the 2,500
animals who come through our doors each year, volunteer
assistance is essential to provide care and attention, as well as raise funds and awareness in the
community.
To address your point about offering
assistance and helping people plan, we do just that via our No More Homeless Pets Network partner program (which includes a list of more than 1,000 rescues and shelters across the nation), our annual conference aimed to help educate
animal lovers looking to make a difference in their
communities, and numerous workshops held at the Sanctuary throughout the year.
Dr. Peek has also practiced small
animal medicine and surgery and provides spay / neuter and adoption
assistance to several
animal welfare organizations in her
community.

While we primarily focus on
animals in our own
community, our Rescue team has responded when disaster relief organizations have called on them for
assistance with saving
animals in devastated areas.
Our
community assistance spay / neuter programs provided over 250
animals in Chaffee County with free or low cost spay / neuter surgeries.
Importantly, it spays or neuters all dogs and cats prior to adoption and provides
community assistance programs to help with the cost of spaying and neutering at - risk
animals.
While the AACSPCA occasionally requests
assistance for specific events from The Anne Arundel County Volunteer Center, local schools, and
community groups (i.e. Girl Guides / Boy Scouts) these situations require no training,
animals will not be handled, and the participants are not official AACSPCA volunteers.
The NHSPCA is not a national or government program, we receive no
assistance from the state of NH or any national humane organization; we rely solely on support from fellow
animal lovers and our
community.
Through BARC's Healthy Pets Healthy Streets initiative, BARC partners with local spay / neuter providers such as Emancipet, Friends For Life, Spay - Neuter
Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Humane Society to educate the
community on the importance of spay / neuter and to provide free spay / neuter surgeries in targeted neighborhoods with the largest stray
animal populations.

SMACF actively seeks out the
assistance of volunteers from the general public, service organizations and established
