Sinking its claws into me far deeper than its main competitor
Battle Arena Toshinden, Tekken 2 was my introduction into the world of quasi-3D fighting and I eagerly lapped up the blocky polygons,
complex special
moves and the added depth that came with being able to dodge in and out of the screen rather than being restricted to a 2D field.

The
battles are impressive, with a wide range of characters that each has a very
complex set of
moves that can be combined with up to two supporters, the cutscenes are long and filled with emotion, and there are plenty of collectibles and secrets to hunt for.
One of the only drawbacks is that a few of the special
moves are a bit tricky to pull off as you need to input
complex button combinations similar to street fighter games, which can be hard to do in the middle of
battle!
