The coroner bill has already come under fierce criticism, most recently by the
constitutional affairs select committee, which warned it was just «tinkering around the edges» and
failed to tackle the key problems in the coroner system.
The OLRB found that the complaints
failed to establish a prima facie case, holding that even if the Provincial Executive had
failed to follow the
constitutional provisions and by - laws, the OLRB does not have the jurisdiction to be the «watchdog for internal union
affairs.»
