I had planned to make my
Hoisin Orange Glazed Chicken Thighs today, but I suddenly realized I could reduce my meal prep time by
cooking everything together.
Wanting to create a different version of lettuce wraps, I decided to use shredded
cooked chicken instead of ground beef and to try making my own low - carb
hoisin sauce.
For a sauce I made my Maple -
Hoisin Marinade and poured it on right at the end of
cooking and tossed to cover.
Stir
hoisin sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and chile pepper sauce into the onion - broccoli mixture and
cook for 1 minute.
Add the honey, soy sauce,
hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar and
cook until the chicken is done, about 10 - 15 minutes.
Ingredients - 2 tablespoons of
cooking oil - 1 small onion, chopped - 1 red bell pepper, chopped - 3 cloves of garlic, minced - 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger - 2 lemongrass stalks, thinly sliced (white parts only)- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, diced small - 1 teaspoon honey - 2 teaspoons of soy sauce - 2 tablespoons

Stir in the slaw mix and
Hoisin sauce and
cook until heated through.
I omitted the sambal sauce and mixed the
hoisin directly into the soy sauce mixture then poured half the sauce into the pan to
cook.
I toss all of the ingredients together (peanut butter,
hoisin, honey, tamari, and rice vinegar) in a small bowl, and then pour it over
cooked ground pork, chopped carrots, onion, garlic, and plenty of chopped cabbage.
While the chicken is
cooking, whisk together the chicken stock, soy sauce,
hoisin sauce, vinegar, and corn starch in a small bowl.
