squad player addition that will fill
in for Wilshere
in short period and replace Rosicky for next season onwards.

was hoped that despite the eagerness to see Xhaka
in a starting role with the
squad, that
Coquelin's injury wouldn't
be anything too serious.

are you saying they won't have legitimate competition
in the team?Competition breeds winners, we havent had this at Arsenal
in a long time and we still don't have it upfront and
in dm, we sort of have it at CB with Gabriel, but until we correct this competition deficit
in our
squad with at least arguably WC players then we won't win the BIG trophies as usual
We really miss Santi there and the backup option of
Coquelin again doesn't fit the idea of dominating teams with possession by putting a player who
's success
in the
squad came from breaking the play of the opposing team.
Even though
Coquelin describes this European match as a massive game for us
in an Arsenal.com report I think Wenger will also
be thinking about
squad rotation.
Jenkinson for RB, Mert and Gabriel / Calum for CB, Gibbs for LB,
Coquelin and elneny for CDM, Ramsey or Cazorla whoever
is not
in starting XI for CM, for CAM Wilshere or basically half of our
squad, Wingers could
be campbell / Iwobi / and either one of walcott and ox and Giroud
is good enough for baclup ST.
Having sold Giroud,
Coquelin and Walcott and, of course, swapped Alexis Sanchez, to bring
in Mhkitaryan and Aubameyang, it
is no surprise that he
was asked last night if he thought he now had a much stronger
squad after the January window.
That
is why it
is great news today that Francis
Coquelin has recovered more quickly than expected and
is back
in training,
in fact, according to the Mirror today, Francis
is even likely to
be in the
squad for next weekends FA Cup game against Burnley
in preparation for the midweek League game against Southampton.
Space
in the
squad is one thing however, but accommodating Xhaka, Kante, Wilshere, Elneny and
Coquelin is another conundrum altogether...
Coquelin is a name that can
be thrown around but he
's still a decent
squad player
in my opinion and you need that
in a team.
Now although Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere
are both back
in the
squad, I fully expect Arsene Wenger to continue with Francis
Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey, who have formed quite a partnership of their own
in central midfield.
Coquelin was the only true DM
in our
squad and we have sold him..
For me, the obvious gap
in the
squad is the backup for Francis
Coquelin, especially as Jack Wilshere's ankle fracture could mean him
being unavailable for the next couple of months.
In terms of the impact on the Arsenal team I think it
is good that we have to think of who we will play we have a big
squad fully of talent we still have Walcott, Wellbeck,
Coquelin, Wilshere to come back into the ranks..
So while the players on loan
are not
in the
squad anymore, Wenger has
been able to add the names of Giroud, Gabriel and
Coquelin, while some players like the Akpom, Ox and Bellerin can
be included
in the B
squad as they
are young and have
been with us for at least two years.
However,
Coquelin and Gabriel have
been introduced to the
squad, Bellerin and Monreal
are looking amazing fullbacks and our results with their inclusion has
been up there with the best form
in Europe.
El Neny and
Coquelin are at best
squad players that should only feature
in Cup games.
Coquelin will continue
in the team until the summer, he will not make the France
squad proper, will not become world class, WILL
in fact
be replaced by someone like Schneiderlin and
be relegated to
squad player, and will never become Arsenal captain.
Arsenal will have a slightly different team to put out
in the Champions league, given the
squad depth we can currently boast about, although the likes of Ramsey, Giroud and now
Coquelin are all missing.
He also spoke about their
being a fair few Frenchman
in the current
squad which would help him to settle, but
Coquelin has played a bigger role than that, as an Evening Standard report explains, as the two have kept

Buying someone inferior to
coquelin wud mean only adding a
squad player, buying someone superior to him wud mean showing lack of faith
in coquelin, and it wud b hard to convince vidal by saying dat u will b competing wid an improved 24 year old instead of
being d first choice directly.
Having vidal and
coquelin is not at all like having schneiderlin and vidal
in the same
squad,
coquelin has plenty of rough edges to smooth
in order to
be a bonafide Arsenal DM.
These
are the very current 18 man first team
squad of the Boss as
Coquelin is unavoidably absent to start and Flamini has come
in to hold brief.
To
be fair to the current Arsenal
squad, the likes of Francis
Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka have given Arsene Wenger better and more varied options than before
in that position, but I would still say that none of the three have yet convinced me that they can help Arsenal to the EPL title.
Coquelin is always an unused sub and Diaby
is never
in the
squad for some reason.
With the Sanchez saga dominating headlines it
's easy to forget that
in the background we have made our
squad weaker with the selling of Szczesny, Gills, Ox,
Coquelin, Gabriel, Walcott and other fringe players.

is not
in the
squad to compete with
Coquelin, they play very, very different roles.

Coquelin's ball - winning efficiency
is going to
be a massive loss and we don't have anyone close to it
in the
squad, but there
's only a handful of players
in the league who can claim anywhere close to that... Monreal showcased his adaptability last season when he played at CB.
It
is unfortunate for
Coquelin as he
was in a good run of form and
was starting regular games but this
is why a club like Arsenal needs a good
squad.

is because of new players

Coquelin, and even Hector Bellerin and even with them we come 3rd, Chelsea the title winners
are strengthening their
squad even with the announcement of 1 billion
in dept, ManU will

Notwithstanding with Santi's recent injury problems, and with
Coquelin and Elneny having turned out some suspect performances this past season, it wouldn't
be imprudent to have Jack
in the
squad — his obvious talents isn't of the type you let go off too quickly.
Agree on Ox but to say «Iwobi on the bench
is just not good enough» makes me wonder how many
squad members some of you guys want
in our PL roster — if you have Ozil, Sanchez, Rosicky, Wilshere, Welbeck, Carzorla and
Coquelin injured the bench
is always gonna look thin.
Given we already have Flamini and Arteta to back up
Coquelin in that position, it seems to make sense he would prioritize a winger who we have far left of

squad if it
is just about numbers.

in that way the
squad is same but Bellerín
coquelin and Gabriel only came to d front after December so to have them from the start this time
is the only plus point going into this season.
I say if wenger doesn't strengthen the
squad by mid july he should go because if anyone hasn't realize we
are going 12 years without the premier league and untill us fans wake up and see that wenger
is done we will end up like Liverpool pathetic and holding on to past glory get that specialist
in failure out soon like come on we
are short on bloody first team players and we will
be going
in next season with
coquelin as our first choice cdm and Walcott as our striker lol pathetic

is looking for a payoff for the last year of his contract before he leaves, to compensate for the loss of wages by not seeing out the end of his deal, and further (if this
is true) it seems that Wenger
is trying to make a space
in the
squad for th arrival of a new defensive midfielder as competition for
Coquelin.
