Center is dedicated to encourage experimental artistic practices by providing interdisciplinary
cultural programs, consisting of exhibitions, lounge projects, lectures, workshops, symposia, screenings and
education programs, through its curatorial that reflects contemporaneity and international perspectives.
A civic leader and staunch supporter of
education, women's issues and environmental concerns, among other causes, Ms. Gund is the former chair of the Mayor's
Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission of New York City and has served on the boards of such wide - ranging organizations as the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research
Center, the Frick, the Fund for Public Schools, and the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation.
The institution remains committed to Peter Cooper's radically optimistic intention to provide an
education «as free as water and air» and has subsequently grown to become a renowned intellectual and
cultural center for the City of New York.
The Museums of Abilene (renamed The Grace Museum), an omnibus organization offering exhibitions on art, history, and children's
education, is located at the Grace
Cultural Center at North First and Cypress in Abilene.

Education Center on The Lower East Side of Manhattan.
The work has also been exhibited in institutions and historic residences, such as the Burle Marx
Education and
Cultural Center at the Instituto Inhotim, Minas Gerais, Brazil (2009) and the Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, England (2009).
The program has two aspects, and is focused on the Unified
Education Centers (Centros de Educação Unificados or CEU), schools for children 0 - 14 years old which also act as community
centers offering sports and
cultural activities to the residents of the neighborhoods in which they are installed.
