Lisa McCarty is a curator and photographer based in Durham, North Carolina.McCarty has held
curatorial positions in archives,
libraries, galleries, museums, and private collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum Library, the Peace Corps Archive, George Mason University, The Nasher Museum of Art, Cassilhaus Gallery & Collection, The Center for Documentary
Studies and Duke University's Rubenstein Rare Book and Manuscript Library, where she is currently curator of the Archive of Documentary Arts.McCarty received a MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University and exhibits her photographs and moving image work internationally.
