Out of curiosity I wanted to see how a finish would turn out if I mixed two
DIY chalk paint recipes together.
I have yet to try
any DIY chalk paint recipes but I've been thinking about it and this post really helped me out.
I have written about many pieces of furniture I have painted using one of three
DIY chalk paint recipes — non-sanded grout, Plaster of Paris, and Calcium Carbonate Powder.

Recipe HERE) in Behr's Bit of Sugar, I sanded and waxed all but the bottom of the inside.

I made the white
DIY chalk paint for the base of the table using the same
recipe I used for the cabinet with Johnsons paste buffed over for protection.
But because of all the wonderful experiments you have done with all the
DIY recipes, I will be attempting to use
chalk paint first thing next week!
I have used all brands of
chalk paint and have made every
DIY recipe.
If you are going to use
DIY chalk paint in a sprayer — I would use the Calcium Carbonate
recipe as it is the smoothest.
