As a result of TVA, the Charleston Gazette reports that West Virginia Congressman Nick J. Rahall, Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, plans to close a loophole in existing federal law that permits power -
plant dams to avoid regulations
designed to prevent blowouts (like what happened in Tennessee) at pre-combustion coal slurry impoundments.
They plan,
design and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbours,
dams, irrigation projects, power
plants, and water and sewerage systems.
