In fact, helping members of my family start drinking more smoothies for
breakfast has helped them incorporate more produce
into their
day than they would have otherwise, and some of them even make vegan smoothies now too!
With winter well on it's way out of here and Spring coming
into full bloom, this smoothie makes the perfect lightened up
breakfast, snack, or treat to enjoy in the
day.
And then, no less than five minutes later, I'm slinging cereal and cutting fruit
into itty - bitty pieces and trying to calm the usual morning chaos so I can please, please just have one little sip of coffee before this
day starts and suddenly it's 8 a.m. and the kitchen looks like it exploded and everyone else has eaten
breakfast but me and that's when my old reliable pal peanut butter toast makes its appearance.
In the early morning hours, when the sun is low in the sky and my eyes aren't quite ready to open and let the light

breakfast wraps itself around me like a blanket and softly whispers that it's time to face the
day.

I love snacking on hummus all throughout the
day, but I thought it would be fun to incorporate it
into a
breakfast recipe so I can get my hummus fix early and start my
day off right.

days.

These muffins would be perfect for a quick
breakfast on the run, a mid
day treat, or packed
into the kid's school lunch.
In all honesty I wanted to share some roasted rainbow carrots + tahini dressing + pretty parsley (it will make an appearance soon I promise) but as I dug
into this

days ago... my excitement took over and I knew what had to be done.
As much as I love toppings, there are
days when I just couldn't be bothered to turn my

As we move
into the full - fledged holiday season, we could all use a healthy
breakfast option a few
days a week.
Since Makena loves the strawberry - lime combo I opted to bring extra strawberry flavor
into the parfait by way of the protein AND fresh strawberries You can add however many scoops you like, but I like to add about 1 serving PER
day to these which would equal 10 scoops (for 5
