LifeLine is creating a model for all
shelters to follow and has, in fact, increased adoption rates by 98 percent at both the Fulton
County Animal Services and
DeKalb County Animal Services since 2013 when LifeLine began managing these
shelters.
The promotion is valid at all of LifeLine

Their goal is to make both their

shelter since 2013, LifeLine
Animal Project implements a holistic approach to address the multiple causes of
shelter overpopulation in
DeKalb County.
Prior to LifeLine's management, the euthanasia rate at the Fulton
County shelter hovered above 60 %, and 40 - 50 % of the
animals entering
DeKalb's
shelter died there.
After a lot of hard work, the chances have improved significantly that an
animal will come out alive from a
shelter in Fulton and
DeKalb counties — up from 15
animals out of 100 in 2012, to 85
animals out of 100 in 2014, according to the contractor who took over the facilities in 2013.
LifeLine manages
DeKalb and Fulton
County Animal Services, as well as a private rehabilitative
shelter and two LifeLine Spay & Neuter Clinics.
