at, with Nacho Monreal turning 31 in February, and with
Debuchy definitely in his last season, not to mention the wealth of injuries currently challenging us
at right -

backs at Arsenal is clear with Nacho Monreal and
Debuchy who are natural
full backs, having to play centre
back, due to injuries.
I understand why Wenger would want to introduce Gibbs and
Debuchy back into the starting lineup because they were actually suppose to be the starting
full backs at the beginning of the season but injuries changed that and Monreal and Bellerin took their chances well.
I actually think that
debuchy chambers and monreal look far more comfortable
at centre
back than they do
at full back, with their only downfall, being height and experience in those positions.
With Monreal and
Debuchy continuing to stay on the sidelines, the Frenchman will have to continue with Kieran Gibbs and Callum Chambers
at the
full -
back positions, while Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny will continue in central defence.
Arsenal fans will still want the boss to sign another quality centre
back in theJanuary transfer window, in case of yet more injury problems, but with Gibbs and
Debuchy in the
full back positions, the Arsenal defence is
at full strength again.

I am not having a go
at Debuchy here, because the French international
full back did as well as we could expect and probably outperformed the big German
at Anfield, but it seems to me that Chambers is the more natural centre
back and
Debuchy would offer more on the right.
Because of all the injury problems which have left the boss with little option in central midfield or the
back four, Wenger has
at least got two first choice
full backs in Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu
Debuchy, with Calum Chambers set yto partner Mertesacker in the centre of our defence.

Debuchy did enjoy a strong start to life
at the Emirates Stadium but a host of injury problems have meant that the
