LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP)-- The U.S.
Department of Energy
said Wednesday that it is entering negotiations with General Electric's nuclear division on a proposal to replace an aging uranium enrichment
plant in Kentucky with a new facility.
In a dialogue with Philrice this January 2018, the institute
said that application for Direct Use and Field Testing is now lodged at the
Department of Agriculture — Bureau of
Plant Industry (DA - BPI).
«We have written to those three countries involved, with 23 identified consignments that may contain lettuce from that particular establishment,»
said Chris Parker, assistant secretary of the

plant export operations branch.
