So far I have freaked out about doubling the amount of children in our house, where the babies are going to sleep, cloth
diapering, starting completely over with baby clothes instead of trying to sort through what would be usable, nursing two babies at the same time, buying a bigger house, how I'm going to
drive four kids around (thank God we just replaced my husband's car in January with a full size SUV with a usable third row), traveling with four kids, what happens if my husband has to start traveling for work, getting the big kids to and
from school with two babies in tow, how the big kids are going to feel once there are two new babies in the house, how I»M going to feel with two more babies in the house, and so on and so forth.
The marketing person in charge of their house brand, Mom to Mom, decided she would match my
drive with a generous donation of 1000
diapers from Safeway.
(We found ourselves in need of a NoseFrida and a thermometer, and discovered a cute little
diaper store in Toledo, Ohio, that I wish I'd found sooner — it might've saved us the need to make an extra
drive — and them
from having to open the store for us!
I didn't shop in big box stores for myself and I certainly didn't want to start with my baby, so when I was pregnant, I would
drive over an hour
from our house in Massachusetts to the cutest little boutique in Connecticut that sold cloth
diapers just to see the different colors and be able to talk with someone about what we would need or want.

Diaper Drive for our brothers and sisters in Texas.
Hannah's
Diaper Drive is ongoing
from now until March 17th.
While taking time away
from her career, Lindsey replied to a moms group post and agreed to help host a neighborhood
diaper drive.
Monetary donations make it possible for us to continue to provide specific sizes and quantities of
diapers that we can not always count on
from diaper drives alone.
We rely on fundraising,
diaper drives and financial support
from the general public to fulfill our mission.
We have had some churches hold
diaper drives for us, but we do not receive funding, gifts, or any support
from any specific church, government funds, state funds, or specific religious organization.
In addition to her expertise on this exciting phase in a women's life, she's a big believer in all things green,
from cars (she
drives a hybrid) to composting (yes, even her son's
diapers).
Well,
from a very basic perspective, it isn't good for sales if your customer is cringing when they
drive by your store or walking the other way if they run into you at the grocery store late at night because their child is wearing a disposable
diaper.
