Did vacuum leak turn out to be the problem?

Things I loved: ~ didn't drown my daughter - she can eat at her pace ~ even though there are 3 parts to the nipple, it's still very easy to take apart and clean ~ due to
vacuum pressure being needed, milk
does not
leak out ~ my daughter switches seamlessly between this bottle and my breast then back again ~ uses the same bottles that Medela pumps use I was worried about trying this bottles at first due to the price being high and seeing reviews about other babies not taking the bottle.
In the alternative you could hook up a
vacuum source to the intake manifold with the car totally off and then
do a totally safe and sane
vacuum leak test.
If you don't
do car repairs yourself, take it to a garage and mention the fault code (P0506) and your suspicion of the cause, a potential
vacuum leak.
It doesn't seem to be running rough but I'm not sure if the engine only have 1 new plug and coil is throwing off the balance and making the code for the catalytic converter show up or if its due to the catalytic converter going bad or if its the intake manifold having a
vacuum leak.
Did you check for
vacuum leaks?
did not have a problem with the grinding of metal but the stuttering sound i had a
vacuum leak on the drivers side on the bottom side of the pvc hose couldn't see it but felt it with my hand also with misfiring i changed the coil pack cleared it up!!
Other than an occasional rough start - starts fine but stumbles and hunts for a few seconds - I don't see any indication of a
vacuum leak.
I have a VW GTI 2011 dealership says the
vacuum pump seal gasket is
leaking And can not get one for another 3 to 4 weeks
does this sound right?they claim it has to be made in Germany and shipped over here.
Be aware though, that the
vacuum test
done by A / C machine doesn't necessarily find a
leak unless it's big enough.
Remember you'll need new gaskets to
do this or your new engine will have plenty of issues (like
vacuum leaks in the intake which will allow unmetered air into the intake system, and exhaust
leaks which will allow air into the exhaust track allowing for really crappy gas mileage.).
Recharged AC had great air and took to mechanic and they
vacuumed and recharged
did not find
leak.
If that doesn't happen, you have a
vacuum / boost
leak somewhere.
I'm thinking you already had a
vacuum leak at the intake before it popped off, which allowed your idle level to drop drastically after you
did your fix.
Did you check your
vacuum lines, IDK about your specific vehicle, but on some cars the climate control is powered by
vacuum and a
vacuum leak will cause them to operate / fail intermittently based on engine load.
The reading was very steady and didn't change after warming up, so it didn't appear to have any
vacuum leaks as I read that sometimes a
leak can come from the intake manifold gaskets.
Have visually checked for broken tubes and everything for a
vacuum leak and didn't see anything.
I'd suggest checking engine
vacuum then maybe
doing a
leak down test if engine
vacuum appears abnormal.
If everything is fine then I
do a smoke test of the intake system to check for
vacuum leaks.
You may need to have additional diagnosis
done by a mechanic like one from YourMechanic to see if the ignition timing is correct and there is no engine
vacuum leaks in the intake or
vacuum lines.
Does have a check engine light on but it comes up as
vacuum leak which is common on turbo cars.
Ya I had the sun roof
leak issue took it all apart (didn't have to) all it was is a plugged drain hole in each front corner use a shop vac once in awhile to
vacuum it out (no more issues $ 0 cost to repair its called maintenance).
