digital information age, I don't think our «public» law libraries (law school and law society libraries) are the first place a citizen would think
to go
to access legal information; and I wonder if our libraries» maintenance of expensive print subscription services — like published law reporters and law digest services — is justified when these print resources are no longer used by our own «expert» users (students, faculty and practising lawyers), are incomprehensible and effectively inaccessible
to the non-expert public, unaffordable, and increasingly unmanageable.

to implement Professor Friedland's vision from the mid 1970's for a Canadian law - related encyclopedia that would answer real - life
legal questions.

digital divide in terms of rural
access to legal information, offers suggestions on how technology might help, and assesses how rural Ontarians currently get
information about the law.
Because it is essentially a consolidation of in - house practice at the student - edited McGill Law Journal, it is increasingly irrelevant
