At 11 a.m., Assemblyman Michael Cusick, Sen. Andrew Lanza, Staten Island DA Michael McMahon, and representatives from the NYPD, Delco Drugs, and YMCA Counseling Services announce the donation of 10,000
drug deactivation pouches to combat the ongoing heroin and opioid abuse epidemic, Delco Drugs, 3833 Richmond Ave., Staten Island.
So researchers are now on the hunt for a way either to ensure that
deactivation is permanent for any CD4 cell harboring HIV, or to spark activation for all infected CD4 cells — with anti-HIV
drugs ready and waiting to attack.
